As The Crow Flies (Webcomic) | An Avid Book Review

This book / webcomic was short but beautiful. It tells the story of a young, queer questioning kid on a search to find their place at a special summer camp. The story is simple but powerful as they slowly grow close with another fellow-camper who is experiencing similar feelings out outsiderness.

The tale is a thoughtful thinkpiece about feeling out of place, unsure, scared, and suddenly found by friends in unexpected places. So many of the thoughts expressed in this book I remember having myself while growing up (and still having!).

Much praise and many finger snaps to the author Melanie Gillman for translating such personal, innermost sentiments into tangible and incredibly drawn images.
